Shorts have the best ventilation! - During the first 1300 meters we dealt with high temperatures and a constant shift between slushy and icy snow patches.

A look in the map. The next part was steep and rocky terrain on a shaded north side. So, we had to mount crampons on the skis and sometimes carry them.

Without skis, we pushed on to the second part of the climb, which revealed a stunning scenery. The terrain was an interesting mix of ice, rock and snow.
